Creating an industry-recognised residential care hub, the Belong Wirral project will provide local members of the community with a safe and inclusive space in the heart of the Wirral Waters project.
The Belong Wirral project will offer an incredibly vibrant, dynamic and versatile setting for residents to enjoy, whatever their needs or abilities, creating an exciting partnership with the Belong Villages along the way.
Proudly becoming the eleventh village in the Belong portfolio, Belong Wirral will provide leading dementia care and accommodation for over 100 people. Each resident will have access to 24-hour care and nursing support in extended family-sized households and independent living apartments.
Alongside this, Belong Wirral will create a purpose-built village that offers residents and the general public a range of facilities, including a bistro, hair salon, exercise studio and function rooms; all designed to promote maximum engagement with local communities.
Helping The Local Community
Beyond this centre, the complex includes housing options to cater for a spectrum of abilities, including 34 one and two-bedroom apartments for independent living to six households which will provide 24-hour support, including nursing and dementia care, for up to 12 residents in each household.
The History of Belong Villages
Belong is a values-based organisation, founded on our vision that older people have the right to enjoy the same community belonging and richness of experience that they have always known. We take our lead from our customers and seek constant feedback on what we can do better through ‘Our listening to the experts’ surveys, regular wellbeing reviews and forums for relatives and customers.
30 years of experience as a care operator informs our ambition to offer a radically different alternative to the host of existing care settings. We were one of the early pioneers of the ‘household’ model for people with dementia and our drive for innovation and excellence has earned us recognition and accolades in the industry, but most importantly from our customers.
