The Peel Group announce their final public consultation for Wirral Waters.

Members of the public will be given their final chance to support Wirral Waters on Thursday 29th July 2010 from 7 pm at the Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead.

Peel Director Lindsey Ashworth will be giving a presentation to explain the final proposed regeneration scheme which hopes to transform the derelict docks in Birkenhead into a magnificent “sky scraper” style mixed use development through a £4.5 billion investment.

The presentation will explain how Wirral Waters has evolved over the last few years and what changes have been made to satisfy concerns raised, prior to the scheme going to planning committee on the 3rd August.

Representatives of Peel will be in attendance to answer questions, there will be beautiful high tech graphics and video imagery of the scheme and participants will be offered the chance to fill out questionnaires in support of the project.

On 3rd August Wirral Planning Committee, which commences at 6:00pm, will decide whether or not Wirral Waters should be granted planning permission, enabling the creation of over 20,000 permanent new jobs.
